Relations between Ghana and Germany: German relations between Akufo-Addo Ghana and Angela Markelall explained

Relations between Ghana and Germany are of the utmost importance, President Nana Akufo-Addo said this week.

But how did the West African Gold Coast and the industrial nation of Western Europe begin to disassociate?

President Akufo-Addo said Ghana was building on the tori successes of North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany.

North Rhine-Westphalia is the most populous and industrial region in Germany.

“We wish to walk hand in hand with North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany in the interest of” we share the attachment to common values.

“And respect for individual freedoms and human rights, respect for the rule of law and respect for human principles of democratic accountability”.

He continues to say “we want to build a progressive and prosperous nation”.

But on the same occasion, Ghanaians in Germany shouted at Akufo Addo to mend the country so he can return home.

According to Akufo Addo, Ghana should be determined to participate fully in the global market for the basics of the things the country produces and not for the export of raw materials.

The President did all these sweet things when he met German Chancellor Dr Angela Markel this week in Dusseldorf in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Diplomatic relations between Ghana and Germany last for more than 60 years.

Since Ghana’s independence, bilateral development cooperation between the two countries has exceeded 1.5 billion euros.

Ghana and Germany collaborate on a number of diverse interests such as youth development, entrepreneurship and the environment.

So far, Germany is one of the main suppliers of vehicles to Ghana.

The President said that establishing large companies like Volkswagen Car Assembly in Accra would be welcome news, as more and more companies are ready to say that they will come to Ghana to come and settle.

Akufo Addo further says that I am a priority to increase trade and investment cooperation as it will be one of the ways to develop healthy economic relations with North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany and the rest of the world.

If Ghanaian products are important to the global value chain, then I will create jobs and give abundant youth.
