Following her shocking comeback and championship win at WWE SummerSlam last Saturday, Becky Lynch will be at SmackDown on Friday night. The appearance will be Lynch’s first time on WWE TV since relinquishing her Raw Women’s Title to Asuka due to pregnancy in May 2020.
Lynch appeared on SummerSlam to challenge Bianca Belair when Belair’s initially intended opponent Sasha Banks was unable to make it to the event. After Belair agreed, Lynch delivered a uranage forearm and suplex to score the pinfall, taking less than 30 seconds to end Belair’s dominant run as champion in a highly controversial finish.
Belair will certainly have something to say about the situation and could make it clear that she intends to get her belt back, perhaps as early as the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event in September.
