A new poll for the Observer has found that two-thirds of Northern Ireland voters believe there should be a vote on his place in the UK, however, only 37% want it to happen within five coming years.
Around 31% of voters said there should be a vote at some point in Northern Ireland’s place in the UK, but after 2026 the LucidTalk poll revealed.
In addition, 29 percent more said there should never be such a vote. There is currently a seven point lead for Northern Ireland which is still part of the UK if a vote takes place.

When asked how they would vote, 49% said they would support staying in the UK, while 42% supported being part of a united Ireland, with 9% saying they would not did not know.
Various other recent surveys have put support for a united Ireland much lower.
While many experts have said they believe the political temperature in Northern Ireland is cooling now, the question of a border poll has been raised by numbers in recent months.
