Daniel Dubois crushed Joe Cusumano three times in the first round to make an emphatic statement on his US debut on Sunday night in Cleveland.

The very powerful British heavyweight contender wasted no time in offending Cusumano on the canvas to end his evening earlier.

The first knockdown came in response to Cusumano landing his own punch – Dubois roared back with a series of right hands that let his rival down.

Cusumano continued with courage, but Dubois launched a full assault that resulted in a sharp right hand, scoring a second knockdown.

The American was cleared to continue again but had barely recovered when Dubois sent him crashing to the ground.

It was an explosive performance from Dubois who has now recorded two quick stop wins since losing his undefeated record and breaking his orbit against Joe Joyce last year.

He won a 17th victory, 16 by KO and five in the first round.
