A latest survey by the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) found that Ghanaians are no longer convinced that President Akufo-Addo and his government can protect public funds and fight corruption.
The report says 62 percent of those polled lack confidence in the government led by Akufo-Addo to fight corruption over the next four years.
This is contained in a document made available to Ghana News following a post-election survey conducted by CDD-Ghana.
Among the many results of the survey, one of the things is that the confidence of citizens in the current government regarding the fight against corruption has disappeared.
“While Ghanaians are divided in their opinion on the government’s ability to ensure respect for the rule of law, the majority, however, do not have confidence in the ability of the government led by Nana Addo-NPP to protect financial resources. of the country and to fight corruption over the next 4 years. years, ”reads the CDD-Ghana survey report.
As the graph below shows, 62% of Ghanaians believe President Akufo-Addo will fail in the fight against corruption in his second term.
It can also be seen from the graph above that Ghanaians do not believe that the current government can protect the country’s financial resources.
