A former deputy secretary general of the main democratic national opposition (NDC) wondered how the party would win the legislative elections of 2024 when it “upsets all the small political parties”.

“Today all small political parties are your enemies,” Mr. Koku Anyidoho told Kwame Appiah Kubi on Accra100.5FM’s Ghana Yensom show on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in an interview.

“What happened to our traditional allies as a political party? ” He asked.

“You have alienated and isolated all your traditional allies,” complained Mr. Anyidoho.

He asked himself, “How do you win an election?

“And when they say with passion that, ‘Go back and build bridges, go back and build alliances’, then they say you’re a bad person, so today they fired this one, tomorrow they suspended this one, tomorrow they isolated this one; how do you win an election like that?

According to him, “this affair which we call governance is not a joke, it is not a snack”.

“President Mills set up this Constitutional Review Commission in 2010. There is a white paper. If the NDC were to even take this report, this white paper, and decide to make it their manifesto, who says the setup of the 2024 elections will not change for them? Mr. Anyidoho, who is contesting his suspension from the party, said.

He observed, “There is IPAC. You will not attend IPAC meetings and now you want to propose reforms to the EC ”.
