A 35-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pokrom, Akuapem South Municipality, Eastern Region.
The deceased, Frederick Ohene Gyan, was killed on his way home from town around 10 p.m.
A community source said Frederick, who has an Austrian wife, was gunned down upon entering his bedroom. The victim was rushed to Nsawam public hospital, but was pronounced dead a few hours later.

A preliminary police investigation revealed an empty pistol cartridge at the crime scene and bloodstains.

Frederick was the owner of the Bright Star International School in Kwamekrom and owned a football academy, Bright Stars.

In the meantime, his remains have been taken to the police hospital morgue for safekeeping and autopsy.
