Five other people have fallen victim to coronavirus disease in Ghana as of August 30, 2021.
That’s according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), as the latest figure brings the death toll to 1,052.
The GHS website also revealed that 449 new cases have been registered.
Some 112,460 people have also recovered / been released. This brings the number of active cases down to 6,940 from the original 7,151 in the last update.
Of the active cases, 147 are in serious condition while 60 others are in critical condition.
A total of 120,452 Ghanaians have contracted the new coronavirus since the first two cases were recorded in March 2020.
