In the survey conducted by the Civil Society Organization (CSO) after the 2020 general elections, 62% of 2,400 Ghanaians surveyed said they did not trust President Akufo-Addo’s ability “to protect the financial resources of the country. countries over the next four years. ”
Analyzing the results during an appearance on News File on Joy FM, Okudzeto Ablakwa stressed that it should be a call for the president to stand up.
“If you do the analysis of all the Afrobarometers and juxtapose it with this survey, it’s clear that confidence in the president is at an all-time low. The president should be very worried about this. I think the president should sit down, ”the lawmaker said.
Mr Ablakwa in his argument to support his point said: “There have been very palpable, tangible and concrete examples of corruption [under the governing NPP]. The president had to fire people. He had to promise investigations, except that often these investigations lead nowhere.

Also in the survey conducted by CDD-Ghana, 62% of Ghanaians engaged said they did not trust President Akufo-Addo to fight corruption and official impunity.
