The KLM flight that was grounded at Kotoka International Airport by a bird strike did not have its engine affected, Ghana Airport Company Limited said.
The strike hit an area near the windshield of the plane bound for Amsterdam.
Passengers had to be disembarked and transported to their hotels after the incident.
“The airline has started processes to get passengers back to their final destination as soon as possible,” a GACL statement said.
Authorities have opened investigations into the impact of birds.
The GACL further assured that it has a strong wildlife management system and “remains committed to the highest safety standards at the airport”.
