Ayorkor Botchwey awarded with the “Lifetime in a Portrait Award”

A delegation from the Initiators of Change Foundation led by Bishop Aboagye-Mensah (Chairman of the Board of Directors) and including Reverend Dr Nanayaa Owusu Prempeh (Administrator) and Mr. Kofi Gyan (Executive Director) presented the “” Lifetime in a Portrait Award ”to Mrs. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey as Outstanding Foreign Minister of the Decade.

The Minister thanked the directors and management of the Change Initiators Foundation for the award and noted that the recognition is a huge morale booster, for which she is very grateful.

She dedicated the award to her family and ministry staff, who together have been her bulwark and pillar since taking office as Minister of Foreign Affairs nearly five years ago.

Ms. Botchwey noted that the civil service is an opportunity to contribute significantly to improving the standard of living of citizens and to take the opportunity to thank President Akufo-Addo for the privilege offered to him to serve in government. .

She also paid tribute to her predecessors, who also distinguished themselves in this role and whose work she said served as a good foundation for advancing Ghana’s foreign policy goals.

She congratulated the Foundation for its initiatives, which promote social cohesion, patriotism, national unity and development, and congratulated the Foundation for celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2021.
