Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been sworn in to six new members of the board of directors of Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL).

In a brief ceremony in Accra on Thursday, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah tasked the new board members with consolidating the gains of the company over the past four years in order to strategically position it as the backbone of the publishing industry in Ghana.

“As you begin this new term, one of the first things I would like you to do is work hard to consolidate the gains that have been made so far in the first term. We need to build on the kind of transformation that has been initiated.

“In particular, we need to improve the business volumes the organization does and the financial returns it brings. We need to focus on the efficiency programs that have been introduced so that we can build a higher height on them, ”he stressed.

The GPCL has undergone a structural transformation in recent years.

The company that was previously challenged and could not fully fulfill its printing and publishing mandate was reorganized and reorganized as the main state printing and publishing institution with sole responsibility for printing and publishing. publication of government work.

The minister expressed optimism about the prospects for the publishing company challenging the newly reconstituted board members to continue on this path of progress and ensure strong corporate governance to guide and promote good governance and institutional performance.
