List of the 16 activities of Akufo-Addo’s working visit to the West, North West, Oti and Volta regions Ghana news

On September 3, 2021, Akufo-Addo began a working visit to the Western region, as part of his duties as President.

His visit to the different regions was aimed only at interacting with the chiefs and inhabitants of the cities visited, commissioning projects, as well as preparing the ground for the construction of other projects as well.

YEN.com.gh has compiled a list of all the activities Akufo-Addo undertook during his daily visit to the West, North West, Oti and Volta regions.

Akufo-Addo began his two-day visit to the western region, with visits to Takoradi, Wassa Dompim, Shama and Esiama.

1. Akufo-Addo ordered a $ 2.1 million Narubiz rubber factory from Wassa Dompim

2. Commissioning of phase 3 of the Twyford-KEDA Ceramics plant in Shama,

3. Inspection of work in progress on Dixcove Landing beach. It is expected to be completed in September 2022

4. Cut the grass for the construction of the 67 km Agona Nkwanta-Tarkwa road

5. Inspected works on the construction of the polyclinic of Bogoso

6. Payed a courtesy visit to the chief of Wassa Akropong

7. Commissioning of GH ¢ 6.7 million rice processing plant located in Sefwi Wiawso,

8. Commissioning of the new administrative unit of the West-North Regional Coordination Council.

On Thursday, September 9, 2021, Akufo-Addo began a one-day working visit to the Oti region, with visits to Addo Nkwanta, Dambai and Nkwanta South. While there he undertook these activities;

9. Commissioning of CH Global Ltd., a GH ¢ 10 million yam and cassava processing plant

10. Inspected the ongoing work on the construction of the new administrative block for the Oti Regional Coordination Council. It is expected to be completed in December 2021.

11. Inspection of the work in progress on the Oti composting plant, which is 80% complete ”

12. Paid courtesy visits to the heads of the region.

The President began on Friday September 10, 2021 a one-day working visit to the Volta region, with visits to Hohoe, Fodome, Anfoega and Ho. While there he undertook these activities;

13. Payed a courtesy visit to the chiefs of Gbi, Agumatsa and Alavanyo

14. Commissioning of GH ¢ 6.02 million technology solutions center in Hohoe;

15. Inspected the work in progress on the Hohoe campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS);

16. Clear the ground for the start of work on Phase II of the University of Health and Allied Sciences’ $ 60 million expansion project.
