“Do Or Die” Case – Bawumia Jabs Mahama | Politics

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia said the competitions are not a “do or die” affair as propagated by former President John Dramani Mahama.

This is in response to Mr Mahama’s comment on how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will approach the 2024 elections at the country’s more than 38,000 polling stations.

“Finally, let me congratulate the winners for tonight and I wish those who couldn’t do it better luck in 2022. You know, when you enter these contests and awards, it’s not” do or die, “then we wish you the best misses in 2022,” said Vice President Bawumia.

Mahama’s “do or die” commentary

According to the opposition party’s 2020 flag bearer, the Election Commission deliberately took steps to ensure that President Akufo-Addo and the NPP win the 2020 elections.

“They say that we learn lessons from things that are happening, so we also learned from 2020. The elections will be won or lost at the polling station. The polling station will be a do-or-die affair. I did not say that all die, it will be do or die at the polling station, in 2024 this is where we will win the elections. We will do everything to ensure that the elections are free and fair. We don’t want to cheat the nuclear power plant, nor do we want them to cheat on us. We just want the will of the people to prevail, ”Mahama, who is on a thank you tour, told Akan FM in the Bono East region.

But Dr Bawumia, reacting to the former leader’s comment, said election petitions would come nowhere without proof of a pink leaf.

“But seriously, if you go to court to challenge the results of an election and you don’t have pink sheets, then your case will die,” Bawumia said.
