The branch of the Council of the Elders of the European nuclear power plant sent its condolences to the vice-president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on the death of his mother.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia died on September 13 at the age of 82.
According to Islamic tradition, she was buried today at Walewale in the North East region in a private cemetery.
In a statement signed by the deputy secretary of the Council of Elders of NPP Europe, Frederick A. Addo, the council offered prayers for Ms Mariama Bawumia who was buried earlier on Tuesday.
“May Allah, Rahmanir Rahim enlarge his tomb and enlighten it with his blessings. She was such a nice mother, ”he said.
