Southern Governors Forum chairman and Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State called the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, “Capo”.
Akeredolu, who described Tinubu as a leader in the country’s southern region, said he was awaiting the arrival of the APC leader in order to make critical decisions before 2023.
Akeredolu, who is the chairman of the Southwest Governors Forum, said so in an interview on Arise Television on Sunday.
While stressing that his recent visit to the former Governor of Lagos State in London had nothing to do with the 2023 elections.
As to whether he will support Tinubu as the CPA presidential candidate in 2023, Governor Akeredolu has said that only the party he is a member of will decide.
“APC is a party. APC will decide who will be the candidate. I have said this several times. I’m going nowhere. If I leave APC, I go back to my room. For me, whatever the decision of APC, I will follow.
“We went to London because it was important for us to go and see for ourselves. How is he doing. He’s the Capo for us here. When he comes, we can make some serious decisions.
