Ablakwa enjoys phenomenal midwife with new car

The brand new car given to midwife Beatrice Obidieh by Okudzeto Ablakwa

North Tongu District MP in Volta Region Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa gave 53-year-old midwife Beatrice Blessing Obidieh from Battor Catholic Hospital a new car for her outstanding work in the facility .

The fully equipped hybrid model of the 2015 Toyota Prius was presented to nurse Beatrice Blessing Obidieh in recognition of her hard work and diligence at an event marking the celebration of World Contraception Day in 2021 held in Battor on Friday September 24.

She is also believed to be the longest-serving midwife at the facility, having started working at the facility in 2003.

“Aunt Beatrice, as she is affectionately known, has rendered inspiring service at Battor Catholic Hospital since 2003. The 53-year-old product of Atibie Midwifery Training School has come highly recommended by all of her colleagues, doctors and administrative staff who were unanimous during my discreet track record verifies that she has been phenomenal, dedicated, altruistic and a role model par excellence for the younger generation, ”the lawmaker noted.

MP Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa remains optimistic that Aunt Beatrice’s hard work and dedication will inspire other young health workers in the district who will perform their duties diligently.

“I hope her remarkable example and our appreciation will inspire other health workers posted to our district from elsewhere, such as Aunt Beatrice’s case, to accept their assignments, stay with us and not to focus on the search for transfers to larger cities. “

This gesture by Mr. Ablakwa is in addition to several other supports he has given to Battor Catholic Hospital and its staff.

Last month, he and his family donated money received at the funeral of his father, Theophilus Brown, to the facility.

Not so long ago, the boisterous politician paid all the medical bills for all the patients in the children’s ward at the hospital, following his victory in the 2020 election.

In the past, Mr. Ablakwa has also donated medical vehicles and equipment to the facility, including incubators, baby cots, theater beds, vacuum cleaner, autoclave, and phototherapy device, all rated at 100,000 GHC in the hospital.
