Minister of Youth and Sports honored by ANOCA

The Association of African National Olympic Committees (ANOCA) honored Ghanaian Minister of Youth and Sports Hon Mustapha Ussif at his 40th anniversary dinner in Abuja.

ANOCA recognized the Hon. Ussif for his dynamism and his commitment to the improvement and development of sport in Ghana and Africa.

ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf said, although Ussif has not been on the sporting scene for a long time, his “ideas and contributions to the development of sport are commendable and deserve to be recognized”.

“The reports from our Ghanaian representative underscore your dynamism and your commitment to the successful hosting and organization of the Accra 2023 African Games.”

Among other dignitaries honored for their contributions to the development of sport are Mr. Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports Development of Nigeria, Professor Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt, Abderazak Sebgag, Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt, General Lassana Palenfo, former President of the Ivorian Olympic Committee, and many others.

ANOCA is currently holding its 56th Ordinary Session of the Committee which happens to be its 40th anniversary in Abuja.
