BOSTON, Oct. 3 (Reuters) – The CEO of Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) said on Sunday that the company had not made a decision to make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory as requested by the White House.
The airline’s vaccination rate is expected to exceed 90% by Nov. 1, CEO Ed Bastian told reporters on the sidelines of an IATA airline group conference in Boston.
The White House is pressuring major U.S. airlines to prescribe COVID-19 vaccines for employees by December 8 – the deadline for federal contractors. Major US airlines have a number of federal contracts. Read more
