Lawyer for Rev. Owusu Bempah, led by Gary Nimako Marfo, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the police decision to bring his clients to justice in two separate courts in the same case.
He therefore served a notice of petition on the Attorney General (AG) regarding the development.
He told Circuit Court 1 that the facts of the case were the same as both trials were linked to the same alleged incident.
But, in response, the prosecution said the cases occurred on different dates with different plaintiffs.
As regards the case before Circuit Court 1, which took place on September 8 and 9, the complainant is Nana Agradaa, while as regards the case before Circuit Court 2, the complainant is the Ghana Police Department with the incident which took place on September 13th. .

Circuit Court 2 presided over by Her Worship Ms. Rosemond Baah Torsu granted bail to Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah for assaulting police officers.
The general overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International and three others who had previously been acquitted of the death threat charge in another court have pleaded not guilty.
Reverend Owusu Bempah, Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene and Nathaniel Agyekum have all pleaded not guilty to two counts of aiding and abetting to cause damage and unlawful damage.
They received a deposit of 100,000 GHc each with a deposit to justify the total sum of the deposit of 400,000 GHc.
The case was adjourned until November 15, 2021.
The brief facts of the case presented to the court by Chief Detective Inspector Dennis Terkpetey were that the plaintiffs are police personnel stationed at the Ghana Police Service Intelligence Unit at Police Headquarters.
According to the prosecutor, the first defendant (Rev Owusu Bempah) is the general overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International while the second, third and fourth defendants are members of the Church.
He told the court that on September 9, 2021, the first defendant and some members of his church, including a certain Mensah Ofori, associate pastor of the first defendant, implored the premises of evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng alias Nana Agradaa and threatened to kill her, which the video went viral on social media.
He said that on September 12, police identified some of the young men, including the so-called Mensah Ofori and Bright Berchie, among the two people in the viral video threatening the complainant and brandishing a pistol.
He said the plaintiffs (police personnel) aboard the Toyota Corolla with registration number NR9602-20 visited the church of the first defendant in Sakaman after the church closed the service to arrest Mensah Ofori and Bright Adu Berchie.
He said another team of plainclothes police arrested Mensah Ofori, took him to Dansoman Police Station and detained him.
Chief Detective Inspector Terkpetey said the first accused upon seeing police personnel ordered members of his church to beat and kill them.
“He further ordered members of his church to march to the Dansoman police station to free Mensah Ofori.
“Some of the church members, including the second, third and fourth defendants, attacked the police and beat them in the middle of gunfire, disarmed the police with two service rifles and vandalized the Toyota corolla sedan. “
According to him, four policemen were injured and were admitted to the police hospital for treatment.
“On September 14, the police were removed from their posts to report periodically for review.
“The investigations also led to the recovery of one of the service weapons of a church member,” he explained.
He said: “A second weapon was also recovered with the help of the officer from the Dansoman police station.”
After Investigations, the defendants were charged and brought to justice in court.
