Robert Pattinson’s Drifter costume revealed by LEGO set

An official LEGO set for The Batman by Matt Reeves reveals a new look for Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) as a vagabond in Gotham.

A new LEGO set for The batman reveals the look of Bruce Wayne as a wanderer. Directed by Matt Reeves, the next Warner Bros. and DC Films will debut with Robert Pattinson as the next iteration of the Caped Crusader. After its production was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic and its release date was pushed back, it is now set for a March 2022 release date.

As its premiere nears, the film’s marketing is also intensifying. Unlike the DCEU version of the character played by Ben Affleck, Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne is fairly new to his role as Gotham’s Bat. Reeves also shared that the story of the film will revolve around the deep-rooted corruption in Gotham City and how the Waynes relate to it in one way or another. Paul Dano’s The Riddler will be the primary antagonist, with Penguin (Colin Farrell) and Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) also involved. Meanwhile, Bruce will find staunch allies in his corner with Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).

Tied merchandise for The batman offers new information on what to expect from the film. The new LEGO set for the movie shares the first look at Bruce’s “Drifter” costume. Besides this information from the art of the box, fans can also see the full set of the character through his figure. Check out the images below:

Aside from Bruce’s vagabond look, the new LEGO sets for The batman also revealed Alfred’s costume, as well as Riddler entering the Batcave. There’s also a recreation of the Batman and Catwoman chase, which has already been seen through photos and videos from the set. When it comes to Bruce’s drifter character, there isn’t much that is interesting in terms of the overall aesthetic. Instead, it’s much more curious to learn how it fits into the film’s overall narrative. As Reeves revealed, Bruce is growing increasingly frustrated that two years of being Batman doesn’t seem to make the changes he wants Gotham. Maybe being the wanderer allows him to be on the ground and find more information about his missions. That being said, the fact that he can casually walk around in this disguise without getting much attention could indicate just how run-down the city is in the blockbuster.

While LEGO sets aren’t always the most reliable when it comes to story details, fans won’t have to wait that long to find out more about The batman. It has been confirmed that an all-new trailer will debut at the DC FanDome later this month. Other than that, Pattinson said there were some surprises for those who tune in. If Reeves’ appearance last year at the virtual event is any indication, expect him to be pretty generous when sharing new details on the highly anticipated project.
