The qualifier competition for the Euros then begins in the 2019-2020 season, with the semi-finals and the final at Wembley and four previous matches in England while the tournament is circulating around Europe.
The question of momentum was hugely raised when Southgate rested most of his starting lineup in the World Cup group match against Belgium.
The strategy was aimed at resting the players. That was however the result and catapulted England to the last four.
If the momentum is as important as some have claimed, Southgate now has an excellent opportunity to continue on a competitive basis until the 2020 Euro.
N & # 39; Nor do we forget that England has never won the right to compete in the other leading international competition, the Confederations Cup.
That's another good reason to try to do something concrete of Nations. League.

England has changed Perception in Russia wiped out the gloomy culture of failure, ego-mania and under-fulfillment that lingered around them like a rotten smell for so long.
Southgate's great success was to design a system that makes the most of a group of players frankly, were sorely lacking in creativity.
