IR Iran's Under-23 squad will fly to Iraq on July 23 and will play the Iraqi team on July 25 and 27 respectively before traveling to China PR on August 6 for their friendly against the East Asians on August 9.
The three scheduled friendlies allow Kranjcar to fine tune his selection before the 2018 Asian Games which will run from August 14 to September 1 in Jakarta and Palembang
Team Melli won the title four times – in 1974, 1990, 1998 and 2002
The Under-23 tournament, which makes it possible for each country to field three overage players, will see the cream of Asian teams vying for honors
