Anthony Baffoe, former international and current deputy secretary general of the African Football Confederation (CAF), said he was not interested in the vacant position at the GFA presidency.

The presidency of the football governing body has become vacant since the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi five months ago, following the premiere of the presentation number 12.

Following the presentation of Anas number 12, FIFA and CAF appointed a five-member standardization committee to clean up national football for six months before a new President of the Ghanaian federation may be elected by Congress.

Many Ghanaians have asked Tony Baffoe, currently deputy secretary-general of CAF, to run for the post of president of the GFA when the standardization committee opens applications for the position.

However, the former Ghana International said that he was comfortable with what he was doing now and that he had no interest in the post of GFA, but said that he would be happy to see a former footballer badume this post during an interview at Happy FM in Accra on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

"People were asking me when I would be the next president of GFA, I'm not interested in becoming the next president of GFA at the moment, I do not know where Allah will lead me in the next two or three years."

"At the moment, I'm happy to work for CAF, but that does not mean I'm turning away from Ghana, but for the moment, this role does not interest me."

"It will be great to see a former footballer become president of the GFA, but it must be prepared because the work will not be easy."

"We need people like Abedi Pele, Yusif Chibsah and Sammy Kuffour, they know football and can contribute a lot to our football."
