Security agencies and emergency services in Ghana, under the aegis of the Ministry of National Security, will organize a counter-terrorism training exercise entitled "Exercise Home Shield".
The exercise, which should take place in the metropolis of Accra-Tema, is scheduled for Friday, November 30, 2018.
On Wednesday, November 28, George George Asiamah (Director General, Ghana Police Service, Director of Counter-Terrorism Department) signed the following communiqué:
"The participants in the exercise include the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Police. Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, National Investigation Bureau and National Security Council Secretariat. "
The others are the National Disaster Management Organization, the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, the Intelligence and Finance Center, the National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Health Service.
The exercise will involve the movement of troops and equipment in parts of Accra.
