The alleged thieves were hanged on a bamboo stick
Three people are under the influence of police for hanging two masons over a manhole in Danfa, near Accra, after accusing them of theft.
The two masons, Kwaku Akorli, 51, and Hope Hortor, 28, were tied to bamboo sticks and hanged at a manhole filled with water after being charged by the owner of the house. a construction site where they had stolen iron bars.
They were however rescued by Adoteiman police following distress calls by some concerned.
Online Graphic Briefing, Ms. Effia Tenge, Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, said the police had received distress calls on Monday, Nov. 26, at about 1:30 pm, and said she was in trouble. is immediately returned to the scene.
She added that the two men had been found tied separately to the bamboo sticks hanging over the lookout at the construction site where they were working on the construction of a private building.
She said that when the two men were saved, they were very weak and had trouble catching their breath, their clothes soaked with sweat. They were taken to the Danfa Health Center for medical treatment.
According to Ms. Tenge, investigations by the police revealed that the cruel act had been committed by the owner of the building under construction, with the help of two others.
The owner of the building, Manbadeh Adzroku, and his two accomplices, Victor Harrison and Collins Amoako, have since been arrested by the police.
