President Akufo-Addo welcomes Nene Tekpernor Adepah IV, representative of Manya Krobo Konor
The family of the late Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko paid a courtesy call on Monday to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at Jubilee House to officially inform him of the death of their beloved parent.
Mr. Agyarko, MP for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP Ayawaso West Wuogon, died in the United States on November 21, 2018.
The delegation, which was led by Nene Terkpenor Adipah IV, chief division chief of Manya Krobo, was sent by Nene Sakite, the traditional Konor area of Manya Krobo.
Nene Adipah informed the president that the family members were not yet reunited to make a decision regarding the funeral and funeral arrangements of their late parent.
He badured that they would inform the President once these arrangements were finalized.
Upon receiving the delegation, President Akufo-Addo described the death of Mr. Agyarko as a shock and a painful development for him, the party and the government.
He badured the family that the state would provide them with the necessary support to arrange appropriate funeral services for the deceased MP.

On Thursday, November 22, the President paid a visit to the family of the late MP to sympathize with them.
The chairman was accompanied by the chairman of the NPP, Freddie Wosemewu Blay; the national organizer, Mr. Samuel Awuku; the Minister of Energy, Mr. John-Peter Amewu; the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan K. Kyerematen; an badistant chief of staff, Mr. Francis Asenso Boakye, and other government officials.
The delegation was received by family members, including the widow, Mrs. Lydia Agyarko.
