Leicester City star Marc Albrighton announces his intention to become a Galactico

Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has an eye on the future and local Tamworth Leagues.

Aged 29, he says his age is not an obstacle to his playing pleasure and that he envisions a future playing with his comrades after the end of his professional career.

"I'm 29 and I'm going to play until I'm 59, I do not need rest," Albrighton told Leicester Mercury.

"I like to play football. I started playing very early and I never really had the chance to play with my friends.

"I could not play with my friends when I signed for Villa at the age of eight, so I never had a chance to play with my friends.

"My friends play for Galacticos – maybe one day, this league over 35 will call me!"

However, before his departure, Albrighton – who has participated in all matches of the glorious Leicester run for the Premier League title in 2015/16 – is looking for even more money with the Foxes.

Former Aston Villa player scored his penalty in the Carabao Cup win over Southampton on Tuesday, and he said Claude Puel's team could cope with the pressures of the Cup and the championship.

"We want to go as far as possible in the cups and succeed in the league," he said.

"There is no mentality of" oh, it's just a cup, we'll focus on the league ".
