On October 20, Apple will send invitations to a special media event to discuss the next version of OS X. Although the invitation does not say so expressly, the event should be around 10.7. "Back on the Mac," says the invitation, showing a lion coming out of the Apple logo.
Surprising right? We thought everything was about iOS in Cupertino these days. But apparently, the good old Mac is still alive and Steve Jobs has not forgotten it.
This is not the first time that Apple gives an overview of its operating system well before it is sent. In 2008, Apple introduced Snow Leopard to WWDC about a year before its release.
