Nabbout, 26, has yet to play in the UAE after suffering a groin injury in the final training session before Australia's first match against Jordan on Jan. 6.
He was expected to return to the game in the last Group B clash with Syria on Tuesday but aggravated his injury in the last practice session before the match.
Despite fears that the Nabbut tournament was over even before it started, Arnold has not yet defined a red line regarding the name of the attacker.
