Mr. Kwarkye Darfour, East Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw, said that about 9,696 youths found jobs in the region between 2017 and 2018 under the NABCO (Youth Employment and Nation Builders) program. Body).

Mr. Darfur said this during the evening for the media and stakeholder review meeting organized by the Eastern Region Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Koforidua.

The MP said that a dozen of the region's industries had received funding under the One District One Factory (1D1F) program and that these factories were operating in a variety of sectors, including the production of lumber. Work and charcoal; production of paper and clothing.

The minister called on entrepreneurs who are looking for potential future business areas in the East region to invest their resources, adding that they would get all the support needed from his office and of the government.
