Christian Agyei, the accused
The Tema District Court has taken into custody the servant of the head of marketing and public relations director of the murdered port of Tema, Ms. Josephine Asante.
The accused, Christian Agyei, 22, must be tried for the alleged murder of his boss.

The case chaired by Ms. Akosua A. Adjepong was postponed until January 31, 2019 after the accused's plea was not upheld.
The pretrial detention follows a prosecution's request to allow them to undergo further tests, including the suspect's bodily fluids and fingerprint badysis at the police forensic laboratory.

In presenting the facts, Inspector Beatrice Ayeh told the court that the applicant was Mr. Amos Apraku, employee and driver of the deceased.
She stated that the deceased was living in Block E of the EMEF estate on Afienya Road with her husband, their 12 year old son and the suspect.
She said that the deceased's husband had gone to the UK in December, leaving her with the suspect and his son.

According to the prosecution, on Jan. 12 this year, Ms. Asante attended a rally night organized by the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA) at the clubhouse of senior executives of the Tema Community Six.
She said that at approximately 11:30 pm, the complainant took her from the party grounds to her home.
