South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack on Kenya on Tuesday, which left at least 15 dead and many wounded.
"South Africa strongly condemns the attacks on the government and the people of Kenya," the president said in a statement.
"South Africa extends its condolences to the bereaved and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded," he said.
Initial reports indicated that no South African had been injured or killed during the attack.
The South African High Commission in Nairobi monitors the situation and interacts with the authorities.
Somalia-based al-Shabab terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
