A fire destroyed about 80 stores that destroyed the Odorna market in Circle on Wednesday night.
The fire, which began around 8 pm, was controlled by the Ghana National Fire Service staff with four calls for tenders.
We do not know what triggered the fire.
No loss was found beyond the destruction caused to the merchants' merchandise against thousands of Ghana Cedis.
Market fires are quite common in Ghana, with some markets in large cities often experiencing several fires.
In this same market, a similar fire occurred in 2013.
Just like this incident, the fire occurred when traders had closed and locked up, a situation that made access to firefighters difficult.
