Netflix, a popular streaming service, claims that its main competitor is neither Hulu nor Amazon Prime; On the contrary, the company thinks Fortnite is its Kryptonite.
Netflix admitted this disparity in a Jan. 17 letter to shareholders, claiming that they were more competing with the royal battle title with HBO.
"In the US, we earn about 10% of the TV screen time and less than the mobile screen time," says the letter. "We compete (and lose against) more than HBO."

In a letter to shareholders on January 17, 2019, Netflix revealed that the title of the Royal Battle "Fortnite" of Epic Game was one of its main competitors.
The letter goes on to say that Netflix competes with many entertainment services that are not strictly TV-based and movie-based, even admitting that the global outage on YouTube in October 2018 had resulted in a significant increase in viewership.
"When YouTube saw an overall drop in traffic for a few minutes in October, the number of our consultations and registrations increased for this period," the letter continues. "In this highly fragmented market, thousands of competitors are looking to entertain customers and barriers to entry are low for those with a lot of experience."

Despite the popularity of Netflix's original series, such as "Stranger Things," the streaming service continues to compete with groups such as YouTube or Fortnite.
The struggles of Netflix are not a surprise. many companies are moving away from the service to create their own platforms, such as Disney's next Disney + service and NBC moving "The Office" to an ad-free site in early 2020, more and more competitors take users' time away from the famous binge-watching site.
In fact, Fortnite has more users worldwide than Netflix subscribers, with more than 200 million registered users, compared to 139 million subscribers (although this may be related to the allocation of service for multiple users under the same account).
