Celtic midfielder Scott Allan signed a pre-contract agreement with Hibernian. Neil Lennon revealed that his goal was still to bring the player on Easter Road.
At the age of 27, he was on the sidelines of Celtic Park and did not even make a single appearance at the Bhoys this season.
His contract was due to expire this summer and Scottish Celtic Premiership rivals acted quickly to get him to sign a pre-contract.
Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, insisted that Allan was a person he appreciated, but who was unhappy not to play for the first team this season. He also took the time to insist that there had been a number of investigations into the player.
"There have been some inquiries about it, so we'll see how it develops," Rodgers was quoted by the Scottish Sun.
Hibs manager Lennon, for his part, insisted that he admired Allan and wanted to find him after a successful loan last season.
"It's no secret that Scott is a player I admire and want to meet at Hibernian," he said. Said Lennon.
"He is a player who suits offensive football that we like to play. The guy who gets supporters of their seats.
"We are looking forward to receiving it."
Allan made a total of 12 league appearances for the Hibs last quarter, scoring three goals.
