Senior royals have a lot of titles. Prince Charles is a clbadic example, as he is also known as the Prince of Wales, Earl of Chester, Duke of Cornwall, and Baron of Renfrew. The Queen is the oldest Queen, but that does not stop younger members of her family from calling her affectionate nicknames.
Why did Prince William call Queen "Gary"?
As a child, the Duke of Cambridge fell one day at Buckingham Palace.
But he could not pronounce "granny" correctly and then turned to a different name to get the queen's attention.
Richard Kay, Mirror columnist, said William shouted "Gary, Gary" after stumbling.
Other members of the younger generation have different names for Her Majesty.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte are believed to be calling their great-grandmother "Gan-Gan".
Her husband Philip calls him "Lilbet" or sometimes even the pet name "sausage," depending on the mood.
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are new members of the royal family. It is therefore unlikely that they have a nickname for the queen.
But Prince Charles often calls Meghan "Tungsten", according to the Mirror.
This means that he thinks that she is "hard and unyielding" like the strong metal.
Kate and William have first names for each other, as William has often been called to call his wife "baby" and "darling".
It is said that their two older children call Charles "Grandpa Wales".
It's a nickname similar to the one that the Queen had called George V "Grandpa England".
