Morata arrived in Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 under a contract that could have reached 70 million pounds sterling.
However, the age of 26 in West London seems to be over. He should leave the club this month.
It is almost certain that his replacement will be Higuain, who has agreed to join Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season.
Higuain enjoys a high reputation after playing for Real Madrid and Juventus.
Morata also played for both teams and had difficulties moving to Chelsea.
Tim Sherwood, former midfielder and midfielder from Tottenham, warned Higuain's fans of the same fate.
"We could have talked about Morata in the same breath, could not we," said Sherwood about Higuain, Sky sports.
"Saying & # 39;[Look at] the goals he has scored in Italy and Spain ".
"He struggled at Chelsea, so let's hope that for Chelsea's sake, Higuain will not find the same problems."
Sherwood admits that it is difficult for any foreign player entering the Premier League to adapt immediately.
However, he believes that having a manager with whom he has played so well before Maurizio Sarri will only be beneficial.
"It's difficult to adapt [to the Premier League] but I think it would be easier for Higuain because he knows Sarri and he has worked with him before, "continued Sherwood.
"So he knows exactly how he wants to play and Sarri would know that he fits in style.
"It's not a signature of 'Chelsea' really in recent years, they [normally] want to go for someone a little younger.
"But it's obvious, on loan, a person that your manager, whom you have to support, really wants and them to be part of the top four this season or finish in the top four or even above.
Higuain must sign before noon on Friday to participate in the trip from Chelsea to Arsenal on Saturday.
