"This incident and that of Mr. Joseph Miigaai Jakperuk, Deputy Head of Distribution East Accra (GWCL) and Ms. Josephine Asante, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Port of Tema, could potentially dive Ghanaians in a state of fear and insecurity, and worry, "said Amnesty International Ghana in a statement.
"These incidents threaten the right to life and liberty of Ghanaians and others in Ghana.
"The right to life is sacrosanct and must receive the highest priority, as stated in Article 13 (1) of the 1992 Ghana Constitution, as well as the right to liberty devoted to life." Article 14 (1) ".

We call on the Ghanaian police to act immediately to investigate and bring to justice the perpetrators of all cases of reported killings. They must make known to the public the necessary aspects of their investigation reports and the measures to be taken regarding these cases in order to limit the fears, insecurities and concerns that may arise.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Ghana Police Service will also have to present a statement and a strategy to deal with new trends in seemingly "organized" killings, which seem to be gaining momentum just in the face of the law. Year to appease the fears of Ghanaians.
We ask the public to also support any information that may badist the police in their investigations.
