Managing Director of Ghana Airport Company Limited, Mr. John Dekyem Attafuah
The Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited, Mr. John Dekyem Attafuah, was fired, collected Starrfmonline.com.
Mr. Attafuah was fired Wednesday, according to his letter signed by the Minister of Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda, and addressed to the chairman of the commission.
Starrfmonline.com also felt that the board of directors of the Ghana Airport Company itself would likely dissolve.
Attafuah was badigned to hand over to his deputy, Yaw Kwakwa, who is expected to act until the government appoints a new director general.
It is unclear what led to his dismissal, but a source who confirmed the news to Starrfmonline.com said that Mr. Attafuah was accused of sabotaging government initiatives within the Ghanaian Airport Corporation.
President Akufo Addo appointed Mr. Attafuah as General Manager of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) in March 2017.
