Ten groups of Chelsea supporters came together in an unprecedented initiative to help stop racist behavior that has plagued the club this season.
Chelsea Supporters Trust, Chelsea Pride, We Are The Shed, Chelsea Podcast, Chelsea Fancast Podcast, London Is Blue Podcast, CFC Fan TV, We Got Got History website, Podding Shed Podcast, and Chelsea In America have created 'Chelsea Together' as they seek to tackle the problem head-on.
This season, the Blues have appeared in the newspapers for the wrong reasons in terms of racist behavior. First, four fans were suspended from Chelsea matches when alleged racist accusations were made against Raheem Sterling in the Manchester City 2-0 win.
UEFA is also investigating the Blues for racist behavior during the Europa League match against MOL Vidi in December, which could lead to a partial closure of the stadium for a European match.
And now, fans are committed to fighting the problem with the new group, Chelsea Together.
The statement to football.londres read: "Today, we are launching Chelsea Together – the community of Chelsea supporters uniting against racism and intolerance.
"It's the gathering of ten groups of Chelsea supporters and fan-run media to fight against all forms of discrimination in and around our club.
"We have gathered, as a result of recent unacceptable incidents, including the use of the" Y-word "and other racist terms, to pursue very simple goals, as stated in our statement of mission:
