Chelsea's tactic, Maurizio Sarri, worked with Marcos Alonso before the shock Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has been working with his side defenders to reduce the threat of Arsenal danger on the flanks as both clubs face off tomorrow.

In the previous Premier League match between the Blues and the Gunners, Chelsea was 3-2 winners at Stamford Bridge, with Marcos Alonso scoring the winner at the end of the match.

Despite his eight goals in all competitions last season, the 28-year-old's goal in August is the only one so far, while he's struggled with fitness in recent weeks.

However, Sarri insists he has worked hard this week with his defenders to make sure Arsenal's wide-brimmed men do not have the joy they have experienced this season.

"In August, it was a tough match, I think," said Sarri. "They have changed in the last seven or eight games, but we have learned that they are doing very, very dangerous moves in the offensive phase without the ball.

"Especially when our back half came out to get the ball, so we have to be careful, we've been working this week, but they're really dangerous.

"Marcos [Alonso] in this match scored a very unusual action for us. So it was not by chance, but … similar. I think we can be dangerous against these opponents, but we have to stay in the game.

"We have to defend with a very high level of application and attention for 95 minutes."
