The world governing body of football, FIFA is the last to condemn the murder of at the shelter investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Ahmed was shot dead Thursday while he was going to the hospital to visit his sick child.
He was shot three times – twice in the chest and once in the neck – by motorcycle badailants in the suburbs of Accra, Madina.
Ahmed played a key role in the # 12 investigative article that led FIFA to ban lifetime former president of the Ghana Football Federation, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
He has since been buried.
In a statement, FIFA said she "was extremely troubled and saddened to learn that a local Ghana-based journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale – was shot dead yesterday.
"FIFA reiterates its support for journalists who carry out important work of investigation, which often leads to an improvement of the governmental norms, not only in the football, but in all the domains of the public life"he statement added.
