Kwesi Appiah, Black Stars coach
Dr. Kofi Amoah, chair of the GFA's standardization committee, revealed that Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah would be given the go-ahead if he did not win the 2019 CAN in Egypt.
According to him, the country has long been waiting for the CAN trophy. President Akufo Addo instructed the Black Stars to bring him home.
After winning the continental trophy four times, the Black Stars have not managed to win it for 37 years.
In an interview with his fellow countryman about "Fire for fire" by Adom TV, Dr. Amoah revealed that the new contract of coach Kwesi Appiah was subject to conditions.
"According to the contract, if Kwesi Appiah does not win the CAN 2019, he is gone"
Ghana is already qualified for this year's show in Eygpt. Ghana will have a high mountain to climb as the number of countries has increased from 16 to 24.
