Southwest Airlines Flight 1643 escaped from the runway at Eppley Airport in Omaha on Friday, the airline confirmed in a statement to Business Insider. No injuries were reported.

"Initial reports indicate that the Boeing 737-800, Southwest Flight No. 1643, traveling from Las Vegas to Omaha, slipped on an overrun zone after landing and that it was traveling. The destination was Omaha and 150 pbadengers and six crew members were on board the terminal and we are working quickly to get their luggage back, "said the airline.

Eppley Airfield has closed as a result of the incident and all flights are suspended as of Friday afternoon, the airport said on its Twitter account.

"Eppley Airfield is currently CLOSED after Southwest Airlines Flight 1643 has left the end of Runway 14R after landing in Omaha.All flights are currently suspended," said the airport. m said in a tweet later.
