Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will be sacked if the Black Stars do not win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which will be hosted by Egypt in June.

Dr. Amoah confirmed that Appiah, whose contract was due to expire in April of this year, received a new six-month contract.

"According to the contract, if Kwesi Appiah does not win the CAN since 2019, he is gone, which is stated in his contract," Kofi Amoah told Adom TV.
The Black Stars have not won the continent's elite competition since 1982.
"The President of Ghana is ready to end 37 years of trophy drought, and I think coach Kwasi Appiah can win the CAN with our prayers and support," added Amoah.
