The initial offers of parts (ICO) made in the first half of January raised approximately $ 160 million. The figure was provided in an ICO evaluation service report shared by ICObench with Cointelegraph on 18 January.

ICOs completed before January 15th succeeded in raising about 33% of the total amount raised in the previous December. The report notes that half of this amount was secured by one project.

According to ICObench, the number of fundraisers planned for January is over 150, a figure similar to the last seven months, without December.

In January, the total combined ceiling – the maximum amount that a project can get investors at an ICO – raises to over $ 4 billion. According to the report, three of the top five fundraisers this month were at or near the absolute limit.

ICObench also reported that the number of registrations at the OIC had continued to decline in January, suggesting that the phenomenon is losing its popularity.

In terms of the amount of funds raised, Canada led the way in the first half of the month, with a combined figure of $ 80 million. However, with regard to the actual number of projects, the Netherlands ranks first.
