Sophia Lillis, most recently known for her role as Beverly Marsh in director Andy Muschietti's film HE, Nancy Drew in the first trailer of Nancy Drew and the hidden staircase. The 15-year-old star will be just 16 years old when the new film will be screened in March 2019, making it the exact age of the fictional teen detective in the acclaimed mystery crime novel series.
the Nancy Drew The books, introduced for the first time in 1930 by the American publisher Edward Stratemeyer, were to serve as a female counterpart to the other police series Stratemeyer, The Hardy Boys. As with the Hardy Boys series, Nancy Drew stories have been published under a pseudonym (in this case, Carolyn Keene), although many authors have written them with ghosts over the years. Since its initial introduction, Nancy Drew the mysteries played a vital role in the introduction of fiction to young readers and went through a phenomenal period from 1930 to 2003. Since then, the series has expanded to new, updated sections such as Girl detective and the current Nancy Drew Diaries.

Now with a new Nancy Drew movie on the way, the first official trailer fell, courtesy of Ellen's show. Nancy Drew and the hidden staircase Sophia Lillis as a teenage detective holder, with Ellen DeGeneres on board as a producer. The film is loosely based on the second Nancy Drew novel of the same name and was adapted for the first time in a film in 1939. This updated editing – complemented by the intelligent interpretation of Lillis on skateboarding detective teenager – will find its way into theaters this year. Check out the trailer below:
Nancy Drew and the hidden staircase will mark the second modern retouch of the Nancy Drew character. In 2007, Warner Bros. released a new interpretation of the concept, titled simply Nancy Drew. The film featured Emma Roberts as the eponymous detective and tried to find the right balance between mystery, adventure and comedy. Unfortunately for Warner Bros., this film has not managed to make much noise with the public. This time, Warner Bros is once again ready to laugh, mystery and adventure, in the wake of the growing popularity of HE, in which Sophia Lillis is a member of the Losers Club. Although there is a significant difference in rating between HE and Nancy Drew and tthe hidden staircase, spectators too young to see HE will now be able to have his own phantasmagorical adventure with Lillis.
It's hard to say if Nancy Drew and the hidden staircase will not have better results than Warner Bros. it's the effort led by Emma Roberts. This new trailer does not reveal much about the plot, although the film comes at a time when a teen story with a female role may be more successful than it did a decade ago. And all too often, the success of movies depends on timing. If it's the case this time, then Nancy Drew and the hidden staircase could score a ticket at the heathy box office while introducing a new generation to the famous teen limousine.
