"It's the same year".
That's the feeling of "disappointed" Newcastle United fans amidst a report that a takeover could be dead.
It is believed that Magpies owner Mike Ashley is ready to end Peter Kenyon's bid for the club.
Despite longstanding reports of the talks, it appears that the agreement with the former Prime Minister of Manchester United is deadlocked.
If the agreement does not materialize, it will be the second possible takeover in the January transfer slot that will fail in as many years.
"This is not a surprise.I honestly, I never thought that would happen one day," said Alex Shiells.
He was one of the many Newcastle fans to have shared their views on the news outside of St James's Park before the shock of Cardiff City on Saturday.
"It's the same thing every year, and unless something concrete comes to say that it's going to happen (…) it's not even news until everything is done and I see someone who is holding a flag over his head. "
Ashley and Kenyon both invested a six-figure fee in legal fees to sell the sale, but Kenyon struggled to find the asking price of £ 300 million, Ashley refusing to lower it.
And sources close to the owner of Toon said that even if the club would remain on the market, Ashley fears to end the talks.
Fan Neil Crooks added, "I have been a supporter for 35 years and have had some highs and lows – I would like us to have the money to be stable."

But for others, the news was not so dark.
"Nobody comes and nobody can destroy anything," said Danny Woods, who hopes the talks will resume at the end of the season.
"It would be nice to have a new striker, there's no secret for us lacking goals, but you look at other teams when they bring in someone in January and it can really to disturb them. "
