A new smiling photo of a drunken student who blocked a British Airways flight after badaulting his pbadengers and crew was unveiled.

Jeffrey & Tanner & # 39; Libby forced the pilot to turn around in the middle of the Atlantic, ruining the travel plans of nearly 200 pbadengers during the flight to Texas, United States.

The 21-year-old, who had recently been dropped by SMS, took a liter bottle of Barcadi shortly after the departure of the Heathrow flight on December 17, 2018.

Raising his voice and swearing, the Texan began to hit and hit the seat in front of him.

Aircraft crew members tried to calm Libby, claiming that the pbadenger had slipped into his seat.

Libby is imprisoned for six months

"He grabbed a female pbadenger from the other side of the aisle and grabbed her by the arm to squeeze her," said Attorney Olu Phillips at Isleworth Public Court.

"She is the victim of the first badault.

"The crew members then approached him."

At that point, Libby spat on and tried to bite the BA flight stewards as they came to hold him back.

Stephen Mumford, a pbadenger who rushed to rescue the crew members, felt the full force of Libby's bite when one of his fingers accidentally slipped into his mouth of the journalism student.

Libby, a student at Texas Christian University, then shook Samantha Jackson, the flight attendant, as she tried to master it with Mr. Mumford.

There was eight hours left and the pilot decided to turn around, costing the airline hundreds of thousands of pounds of fuel.

The student bitten and spat on the pbadengers and the crew

Detective Inspector Matt East of the Met Air Force Command said: "Libby's behavior was extremely reckless and endangered the safety of pbadengers and crew on board.

Not only that, but his actions caused considerable disruption and inconvenience for all on board, and the airline had to reorganize the flights for the other 191 pbadengers.

"Drunk, abusive and violent behavior aboard any flight is totally unacceptable.Any person behaving in this way should know that the crew will not tolerate it and that it can be expected to be arrested, brought before the courts and may be delayed for several months.

Libby appeared by video link from Wormwood Scrubs where he had attended Alcoholics Anonymous. His parents were sitting in the court stand and sobbing throughout the proceedings.

Michael Wolkind, QC, on defense, said that Libby had recently been dropped by his girlfriend for a year by SMS.

The court was told that Libby had recently been emptied of her text

He was returning home early after a trip to London to receive treatment for a skin problem.

Judge Robin Johnson said Libby was to go to jail for six months.

He said: "It does not matter if you were drunk when you boarded the plane or if you became drunk.

"Nearly 200 pbadengers were severely inconvenienced the week before Christmas.

"On top of that, those who behave drunk are not only dangerous, but they scare a lot of people."

"Against your personal mitigation, it is my duty to state unequivocally that this behavior can not be tolerated.

"You badaulted a woman for no reason."

Libby, of Dallas, was also fined £ 100 for using threatening and abusive remarks against cabin crew and £ 415 in fines and surcharges, Scotland Yard said.

He had admitted three counts of badault causing bodily harm, a drunkard on a plane and a proffered, insulting or insulting leader to the cabin crew.
