A new smiling photo of a drunken student who blocked a British Airways flight after badaulting his pbadengers and crew was unveiled.

"Drunk, abusive and violent behavior aboard any flight is totally unacceptable.Any person behaving in this way should know that the crew will not tolerate it and that it can be expected to be arrested, brought before the courts and may be delayed for several months.

Libby appeared by video link from Wormwood Scrubs where he had attended Alcoholics Anonymous. His parents were sitting in the court stand and sobbing throughout the proceedings.

Michael Wolkind, QC, on defense, said that Libby had recently been dropped by his girlfriend for a year by SMS.

He was returning home early after a trip to London to receive treatment for a skin problem.

Judge Robin Johnson said Libby was to go to jail for six months.

He said: "It does not matter if you were drunk when you boarded the plane or if you became drunk.

"Nearly 200 pbadengers were severely inconvenienced the week before Christmas.

"On top of that, those who behave drunk are not only dangerous, but they scare a lot of people."

Libby, of Dallas, was also fined £ 100 for using threatening and abusive remarks against cabin crew and £ 415 in fines and surcharges, Scotland Yard said.

He had admitted three counts of badault causing bodily harm, a drunkard on a plane and a proffered, insulting or insulting leader to the cabin crew.
